TaraWe welcome our new teacher Andrew.

I first started Yoga when I realized I could no longer touch my toes and decided something needed to be done. Armed with nothing more than a few of mom’s Yoga DVDs featuring a trainer we quickly dubbed “The Mean Lady”, I was surprised how challenging such simple looking poses could be. I enjoyed the feeling of opening up the body and found strength through the practice by linking breath with movement in a flowing sequence of postures. I graduated from Mountain Goat’s 2009 Teacher Training program and found it to be a thoroughly rewarding experience. Yoga builds strength, stamina and flexibility in the body while cultivating a calm inner stillness. In my Yoga classes, I try to find relaxation within the Yoga poses and work towards comfortable discomfort in even the strongest yoga postures.
