Yoga for Beginners (Aug14)

We’ve all been hearing about the benefits of a yoga practice in the media. It sounds good, but where do you start?

Join in this introductory workshop to learn about the basics of a Hatha Yoga practice to prepare for your first class.

  • LEARN:

  • basic postures,

  • class structure,

  • yoga styles,

  • modifications,

  • using props,

  • breathing,

  • relaxation.

Choose from one of following days:

Saturday 14 August, noon - 2:00pm  (Kanata)

Saturday 25 September, noon - 2:00pm (Kanata)

Cost: $25 (sign-up online now)

Pre- registration required at least one week in advance. A minimum # of registrations is required to run workshops.

We will do a light yoga practice - wear comfortable clothing. Yoga is done in bare feet. Bring your yoga mat or one will be provided.

Classes are lead by Tara Vicckies, RYT. Tara has been practicing yoga for over 14 years, and teaching for more than 9 years. She enjoys the benefits of regular yoga practice.
